Allyn Quigley is an Irish director and IFTA award-winning film editor. He is also one half of Spiceburger, a commercials directing duo specialising in comedy with a keen eye for casting.
In 2019 Allyn wrote and directed Moth which went on to win Best Irish Short Film at the Kinsale Shark Awards, earned a nomination for the Virgin Media Discovery Award at the Dublin International Film Festival, and is now streaming on Disney+. He followed this with Findlater, which won Best Dublin Short Story at the Bloomsday Film Festival. His most recent short, Yellow Belt, was funded through Screen Ireland’s Focus Shorts programme, premiered at the Cork International Film Festival where it won Best Director, and has since picked up awards at the Dam Short Film Festival, the Boyne Valley International Film Festival, the Clones Film Festival, and the Irish Film Festival Los Angeles.
As an editor, Allyn’s first three feature credits, Redemption of a Rogue, Lakelands, and the Screen Ireland/BBC Film-funded Christy, have each won Best Irish Film at the Galway Film Fleadh. Christy also swept the IFTAs, taking home Best Film, Best Director, Best Casting, and Best Editing for Allyn.
Allyn is currently developing his debut feature, Sound of the South, with Screen Ireland.
